Privately situated, the house overlooks Moose Meadow's trout pond and has a main floor living room with wrap around deck. A spiral staircase, scribed into to a branching support tree, accesses the second story bedroom complete with its own porch. The owners have done an impressive job outfitting the interior, helping provide their guests a one of a kind lodging experience. And this year, we are adding an additional outdoor shower and bathroom!
A guest room for Moose Meadow Lodge in Duxbury, VT, this detailed, Adirondack style two story heated tree house was started in a Tree House Design/Build class at Yestermorrow Design/Build School taught by Stauffer Woodworking and Architect Erik Hegre. The class put in the attachments to the trees and got the platform up. In the studio portion of the class, each student designed his or her own tree house. We finished out the design work and construction on this one over the course of the next few months. Check out gallery of the unique kitchen we did for Moose Meadow Lodge in 2013. Duxbury VT 2012.
