With a deck designed to look like a beech leaf in the forest with more leaves fallen to form a roof, this is one of our most sculptural, organic projects to date. Aggressive design and engineering help it perch on narrow supports and flex with the winds. Features include a unique log staircase, rope operated hidden hatch door to a secret spiral stairway, sleeping loft, and clear roof paneling.
Begun in a Tree House Design/Build class at Yestermorrow Design/Build School co-taught with Erik Hegre, we finished out the design and build professionally over the next few months. Fayston VT 2010.
